Lisk (LSK) announces release of Lisk Hub 0.9.0
Lisk (LSK) yesterday announced that they’re releasing Lisk Hub 0.9.0, their desktop application for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. The new version will have a whole host of improvements including updated main menu and transaction detail page tweaks. Along with that, it also gives you a view of votes from non-delegate accounts. And they’ve also made some tweaks in the UI and UX, according to their announcement on Medium.
Lisk aims to provide the infrastructure for programmers and developers to build custom Blockchain applications from scratch. The platform will assist these people in building customized, industry-specific applications which work on top of Lisk’s blockchain framework. The decentralized network uses a simplified implementation of algorithm called Delegated Proof of Stake. LSK is the platform’s native digital token which is used to handle fees and transactions within the larger Lisk ecosystem.
Improvements from the new version
The Lisk Hub 0.9.0 has a new feature which allows users to see votes and voters from non-delegate accounts. This addition to the account page can be viewed under the new “Account Info” tab. This tab lists all the delegates which the account voted for and the user can see it.
The updated Main Menu has icons which take up lesser space than before. And it also ensures that the menu fits in most screens with various sizes. The “More” option which showed a sidebar with all the items earlier has been removed. They also plan to explore on how to optimize the UI better on laptops with smaller resolution. The menu will also be scrollable in laptops with really small resolution, for now at least.
According to their Medium page, they always “strive to improve the user experience of using Lisk Hub.” And this is why there are several UX improvements in this new version. They’ve changed the way the transaction amount is shown on the transaction detail page, slightly. The Wallet section’s transaction detail has been updated to behave as a separate page with more intuitive behaviour in certain cases.
The new version’s settings has a EUR/USD switcher. Once the user selects one, the system will stick to that particular Fiat currency. The vote launch protocol landing page has icons now making it easier to spot delegates to be voted or unvoted.
